With piracy these days being such a problem for people on big boats filled with valuable cargo, it’s only natural that somebody has built remote control armed floating robot death machines to protect all that stuff.

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems (RADS) is one manufacturer. RADS makes warfare supplies for air, land, sea, space, and the homeland. They’re the makers of the Protector unmanned vehicle in the video above (you can even download the brochure).

Weapons people are funny, it’s just a job for them. Their lives are organised in very normal ways.  They have all this great marketing, like this brochure for a missile system, and even user groups. Pictured below is the user club for the SPIKE missiles.

Despite being somewhat inappropriately named after the archangel of the most high placed in charge of healing, RADS is not without competition in the floating death machine market.
